HSCL News for Parents October 2018
Letters looking for suggestions of courses and classes were given to parents in September. After having processed the responses, the following classes and events are scheduled for this term:
Irish Level 3 QQI – A 20 week conversation based Irish course for parents/ guardians will start on Thursday 11th October in the Parish Centre, 9.15am – 11am. This course is fully booked.
Fitness Bootcamp – A 6 week bootcamp for parents’ guardians will start on Monday 8th October, 9.15 – 10am in St. Paul’s Secondary School. Contact Elma 086 0427665 to book your place.
Cyber Safety and Social Media Talk – Paula O’ Connor from Don’t Be Mean Behind Your Screen will deliver a talk for parents/ guardians on Monday 15th October in Holy Spirit Senior School Hall at 7pm on your child’s usage of social media, gaming and how to protect your child online. This is a relevant and practical talk and I urge you to attend if possible.
Helping My Child with Maths – There is great interest in this course. After midterm break, I will be advertising for places in this Tuesday morning course, which will run for 6 weeks. It will be targeted at parents of pupils in the Senior School only so focus will be on Maths skills and content for 3rd to 6th class. Keep an eye out for my text as spaces will fill quickly.
