Engineers Week 2020

DBFL Consulting Engineers joined Engineers Ireland to inspire the next generation of engineers through participation in Engineers Week 2020 which took place from February 29th – 6th March 2020. The third class children were lucky enough to have eight engineers visit their classes to complete a workshop with them. Credit Union Quiz Winners

The regional Credit Union Quiz was held in Kilnamanagh Community Centre on Sunday 1st March, where Holy Spirit SPS was represented by a Senior and Junior team. The Senior team came 1st in the competition and the Junior team came 2nd, having been in top position all the way through the quiz. Solving Puzzles in Ms. Cooney’s Room

Ms. Cooney’s class had great fun using dice to solve puzzles recently in a challenge called Dice Train. She was so impressed with the children’s logical reasoning and their use of maths language when they discussed how to solve the puzzle with their team.
